General Maintenance
Normal maintenance concerns will be addressed in a timely manner during regular business hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday).

Emergency Maintenance
Emergency maintenance issues are defined as existing when:
-Life or safety is in danger
-Protection of property is required
-A health hazard exists
-An essential service has been lost
Emergency maintenance concerns will be addressed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. NBHA provides emergency ON CALL staffing at all times.

NOTE: If you are facing a fire, medical, or life threatening emergency call 911 prior to calling NBHA.
NOTE: If you feel that you or your unit is being threatened by a person or their conduct please contact the RCMP by calling 911.
Fire Safety
NBHA provides fire safey education information to all tenants in partnership with local fire and emergency service providers. Evacuation plans are in place at NBHA apartment buildings. Fire drills are conducted twice each year at these buildings. NBHA also maintains state of the art fire alarm and smoke signalling devices in all buildings and dwelling units.
Yard Pride Contest
NBHA holds an annual Yard Pride contest for Family Housing tenants to celebrate and encourage excellent yard care.
Winners are celebrated monthly throughout the summer (July, August and September). A total of 30 winners shared in $300 worth of monthly prizes in 2011.
At year end, Grand Prizes - first place, second place, and third place winners - are selected from the monthly winners. The 2011 Grand Prize winners shared in $300 worth of prizes.
